I have been creating wedding outfits for the mother of the bride and groom for 15 years from my shop in Stow-on-the-Wold. The shop carries an inspiring selection of ready-to-wear outfits to browse through, try on and buy.

Or you might prefer, as many clients do, to have an outfit made especially for you (size 6 to 18).

It could be an extravagant combination of colour and fabric or something more understated but very chic. Whatever you choose I can design and make it all, from a spectacular hat down to an impressive pair of matching shoes.

Many clients travel a long way to be assured of wearing something different at their son or daughter's wedding.

How it works…

If you decide to have a made to measure outfit, the first thing to do is book an appointment.

You and I will spend some time, over a cup of tea, coffee or a glass of wine, discussing what you have in mind. My aim is to guide you towards the style and colour combination to achieve just the right look for you.

When I am ready I will contact you to arrange a convenient date and time for your second appointment which will be your first fitting.

Your third appointment will be arranged for you to come and collect your outfit. If it needs a few minor tweaks you may need to come back a fourth time. Alternatively, I can post it to you.

Timing

You should allow around 6 weeks from start to finish. However, the more time you give the better it is for everyone involved. On occasions I can work to a tighter time scale but there are busy periods when I just can’t!

How much?

As a guide, a made to measure outfit, including hat, jacket, skirt and shoes could come to around £1,000. A similar ready-to-wear outfit would be significantly less.

However, you can choose to have as much or as little as you want.
